Mark & Debbie with friends from Waikiki (Bear & Tallin) practice tandem surfing lifts in the surf line for fun before going out on the boards in front of Dukes at Canoes. This is almost as fun in the pool .... but the waves make it extra hard to practice adding a little more challenge to the routine and balance. |

Surf dog & Quadriplegic surfer tandem surf - channel 6

Rip Curl Ricki, a surf dog, and Patrick Ivison, a quadraplegic adaptive surfer got together to catch some party waves and tandem surf at Del Mar beach on August 20. Patrick was run over by a car when he was a child, and suffered a spinal cord injury. He has used a wheelchair ever since.
