giant eagle store ordered handicapped person service dog out

the giant eagle, store at 8585 pearl rd., - 6925 southland, middleburg hts., ohio 44130, phone 440-842-0060 and an employe, said to be joe suciv, or suchy, a shift manager, - on october 9, 2007, at about 10 pm, ordered a handicapped person, guy templeton black, and his handicapped assistance (service canine) dog, yogi, out of the store and threaten to call the police on them and waiving his arms in a threatening way and yelling at times " your dogs needs a vest its not a service dog" "out out" -once he said please "you have been here 40 minutes" and as the handicapped person was taking video with his video camera of the incident and requesting the employe's name which he refused to give - the employe yelled "you can't take video in the store - you can't take video of me" and the employe refused to look at the service canine certificate-license that the handicapped person wanted to show him and the employe moved to take the video camera away but the handicapped person quickly put it into his pocket as the employe was waving his arms in a threating way as we got to the exit front door - the handicapped person guy templeton black, and his service canine was shopping at the store twice before - said incident was in direct violation and the americans disablities act (ada) and the giant eagle corporate headquarters was notified and said video was emailed to them but no response so far 412-963-6200 - the handicapped person is 66,united states armed forces veteran - his service <b>...</b> |

"Let me tell you about a child that in Pre-K was not interacting with his peers because he could not keep up, because he did not always know the right things to do or say to get other children to take notice. By the time this child started Kindergarten he learned that he would be left behind, that other children would start to treat him differently and even tease him, and that it was easier to play by himself. Now let me tell you about the child that is now risking interaction with others, that now has something in common with them, and even is seen as special in the very eyes of those that had deemed him different. Of course this child is Hunter. And the change is Kicker. Even when Kicker is not with him...he is. This is my hope for every child and team placed by 4 Paws... that the world grant them a chance to be seen for who they are, not for what they can't do, and that a bridge of acceptance is built between able and "dis"abled."
